ABOUT VERA:

Vera Brown! (she/her) is an actor and singer who is a proud native of Memphis, Tennessee. Currently based in St. Louis, Missouri, she will be graduating from the Webster University Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts with a BFA in Musical Theatre in May 2026.

Her love of the arts started at just 6 years old when she debuted as a Town Crier in Cinderella Kids at her elementary school. Since then she has cherished and appreciated the ways in which theatre has helped her grow artistically and personally.

Her favorite regional credits include Ensemble in the regional premiere of Dear Evan Hansen at The Muny (dir. Rob Ruggiero) and Sarah’s Friend in Ragtime at STAGES ST. Louis (dir. Deidre Goodwin). Some favorite educational credits include Sonya in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (dir. Michael Baxter), SpongeBob SquarePants in The SpongeBob Musical (dir. Lara Teeter) and Jean-Michel in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (dir. Dax Valdes). Vera is also a 2022 Jimmy Awards Alumni, where she was a semi-finalist.

Vera is also very passionate about educational theatre and Theatre for Young Audiences. She hopes to someday become a theatre educator for grade school children to create spaces for kids to thrive like the ones she was provided growing up.
